What our teachers say about their experience of teaching at GRY.
From Kate Franklin:
I started teaching at Green Room Yoga shortly after moving from Toronto to Vancouver in the fall of 2012. I could not have imagined a more perfect studio for my teaching.
I love the small class sizes because it means that I can get to know my students. I feel empowered and encouraged by Alix to teach from my own experience and my own sense of curiosity around movement.
I feel inspired by Alix and the rest of the Green Room teachers to keep learning and evolving my own practice. As a result, my teaching feels fresh and I feel like I am always growing as a teacher.
At Green Room Yoga, "going deeper" doesn't mean achieving really challenging postures, rather it means slowing down and spending time feeling the subtleties in the poses and movement sequences.
My favourite thing about teaching at Green Room Yoga is that I live in the neighbourhood. I get to see at least one of my students every day outside the yoga studio and it makes me feel proud and happy to be a part of our wonderful community.
What our students have to say:
"As a long time student and advocate of Green Room Yoga, I could recommend no other studio to those looking for fantastic yoga.
I am so happy to see the growth and evolution of the studio, with a great new space, teachers and courses, all the while maintaining its intimate, neighbourhood charm and individual attention.
Many thanks to Alix & Company for their expert, fun classes that both challenge and respect the individual."
